General Info

The Attic Cafe, located at 1920 E 7th Ave, Tampa, FL 33605, is a local gem that blends a relaxed atmosphere with a vibrant community spirit. Known as both a casual café and a gathering place, it has become a popular spot for breakfast, brunch, and networking events. Guests often highlight the welcoming ambiance, with its open layout and cozy design, making it an inviting space to start the day or linger over coffee.

Many visitors enjoy the convenience of early morning service, perfect for professionals stopping by before work or those attending small group events. Pricing is considered fair, and the quick service makes it an easy choice for both locals and travelers. The Attic Cafe’s menu covers a variety of comforting breakfast and brunch options, from hearty plates with eggs and hash browns to lighter choices for those seeking a simple start. The hash browns, while generally appreciated, have occasionally been mentioned as inconsistent, reflecting room for improvement.

What stands out most is the sense of continuity the café has built with its community. Regulars mention how much they enjoyed the previous location and appreciate the new spot in Ybor for its quieter surroundings and open, airy setting. Even with this move, the food quality has remained a highlight, described as consistently delicious and a reason guests return time and again.

Service experiences vary, with most guests noting friendly and efficient staff who help create a comfortable dining experience. However, there have been instances of longer wait times during peak hours, particularly for simple breakfast items, and occasional mix-ups with drinks. While these moments leave room for growth, the overall impression remains positive thanks to the flavorful food and inviting atmosphere.

For anyone in Tampa looking for a café that combines hearty meals, a relaxed vibe, and a touch of local charm, The Attic Cafe is a destination worth adding to the list. What customers say?

“ This was my first time at this location. We had a networking event early morning and fell in love with the ambiance and space. Service was quick and the pricing is reasonable. Would love to come back and try other items from their menu and possible do an early breakfast or brunch next time. ”

“ In a beautiful environment, breathe in fresh air and experience a stress-free escape, where worries fade away and you can truly savor delicious food, stunning views, and amazing art. ”

“ Fantastic little hidden gem of a rooftop brunch spot that offers amazing mimosa pitchers as well as fresh, unique breakfast items. The area outside is very quaint with a single row of 2 top tables and a beautiful view of some of downtown Tampa. It's also well behaved dog friendly if you sit outside. If you are lucky enough to get Carmen as your server, and order a mimosa pitcher, you will be in for a sparking treat as she adds a little glitter to your day! She was seriously so amazing and having my drink swirl with glitter was absolutely the coolest thing ever! We had the most relaxing time with the fresh air and perfect atmosphere. Parking is super easy on the street and the elevator will take a few minutes longer than you would expect but it's an older building so it adds some character. Love this place! ”

“ This family owned cafe is an excellent hidden gem. Now located in Ybor, the new location got a much needed update with more space for guests, especially on busy weekends. The food is always the comfort food I am craving at a reasonable price. The owner and head chef, Rosa, is there nearly every time I’ve visited, a friendly face making sure her customers are well cared for. The serve staff hustles. Carmen and Elyssa are excellent! The hostess Stephanie is very sweet and knowledgeable about the area, always going above and beyond to make sure guests are well cared for. I really like the new location for its natural light and greenery, with some cool outdoor spaces as well. Overall this is a great place to eat as a local brunch spot. ”

“ Any time i’m in Tampa, I always stop at the attic for breakfast/brunch! LOVED the old location, but the new location is in a nice quiet spot in town with a nice open atmosphere. The food, as always was delish! Can’t wait to come back ”

“ This is a cute spot and easy to get to. Food was delicious. Had the corned beef hash, which was pretty good; and a very pretty mimosa with mixed berries flavor... They have options on flavor for the mimosas. Will definitely come back. ”
